Long commute times for travelers along with increasing costs of travel and infrastructure upkeep have spurred more effective city planning into action around the world. The development and creation of real-time data gathering technologies are playing a key role in redesigning urban infrastructures and commuter habits, encouraging alternative modes of transportation and shared resource ownership. Incentivized applications are among these technologies.
The 7th International Symposium of Travel Demand Management will be held on April 13-15, 2015 in the beautiful Sonoran desert at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador. Attendees will benefit from informative presentations, enticing views of the mountain ranges surrounding the city, and springtime desert flora in bloom.
Metropia Founder, Yi-Chang Chiu, and directors Jenda Chen (COO) and Xianbiao Hu (R&D Director), organized the conference to give experts worldwide the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with travel demand management concepts. Each speaker will present theoretical and practical ways to alleviate traffic bottlenecks, promoting enhanced safety and prudential commuter practices on aggregated highways. They will each contribute ideas involving theoretical and practical methods to prevent adverse consequences for transportation systems and preserve the health of cities.
